Friday 15 – Monday 18 November 2018
2019 Festival theme: Explore
Hosted annually over a long weekend, Celebrating Sexuality Festival is a retreat with a festival atmosphere for the contemporary exploration of the spectrum of sex and relationships.
Launched in 2012 and hosting 200 people in a stunning location, the festival welcomes people of all sexual, relationship, cultural and gender identities who are 18+, respectful and curious.
We are not just turning people’s heads in Australia, people from all over the world are actively engaging, all year round.
“Celebrating Sexuality Festival provides a highly transformative, radically different space for adults to explore new ways of experiencing sex and relationships” says Jo Balmforth, Co-Founder and Festival Director. “It is not just my belief; these experiences are fundamental to the well-being of the individual and the community.”
This weekend focuses on delivery of a variety of high-quality, interactive and experiential workshops. The workshops are led by professional sex and relationship educators from all around Australia and internationally.
The attendees travel from all over Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe, the USA, and Canada – to be part of the weekend. Online, Celebrating Sexuality Festival has an active following of 15K+ and this is growing exponentially.
Balmforth curates an experience driven by the festival Vision, itself born from a thematic analysis of the community feedback. Contemporary local and global research and education, as well as current trends, influence the festival strategy.
Collectively this highly engaged community believe their personal development is worthy of investment and are looking for something that offers more than a hedonistic experience, consistently describing their experience as highly transformational as well as fun.
