Co-Founder and Festival Director: Jo Balmforth

Picture
I am a Pleasure Activist and Transformational Facilitator.

I have over 25 year’s experience in public and private health-care, post-graduate education, project management, clinical research and certified alternative health practitioner – in Australia and the United Kingdom.

My mission is to create spaces for people to explore personal expressions of health, creativity, intimacy, connection, and sexuality. I believe these experiences to be fundamental to the wellbeing of the individual and the community.

Join me in creating experiences where creativity, healing, fun and self-empowerment are the norm.

MC: Huw Rodgers

At any gathering of those talking about sex there is nothing like the eruption of surprised laughter.

As the Master of Ceremonies Huw wields a sharp wit, warm demeanour and subtle stage presence to welcome the entire festival home.

A veteran of Celebrating Sexuality he believes the best MC's are both unnoticed and unforgettable and that we are moving towards a world where sexuality is spoken about openly and compassionately.

Sound: Shunya

Picture
In service to the soundtrack of our weekend, Shunya travels from the Northern Rivers each year just to be with us!

He will tell you he's only providing the speakers, mic's and cables for the workshops – but it's so much more than that – and we know it!

During the weekend, Shunya will be serving up chilled and spacious music in the main arena, as well as providing in-the-moment audio for the high-energy fashion parade.

You may even get to hear some of his own work during the weekend. Have a listen to his latest album Rescue Flares, out now on
Bandcamp.

Sex Camp Crew

The Sex Camp Crew are a dedicated group of people you will meet on the weekend.
Without our amazing crew Celebrating Sexuality would not happen. Please thank them with us, and enjoy some photos of them from the many weekends! If you would like to join the crew click here.

DJ: Rola

Picture
Flair, flamboyance and a whole lot of fun, DJ Rola is one of the community's most  treasured musical alchemists.

From Whomp to Funk, Rola aligns her eclectic music collection to take you on a journey to the roots of your gut and the crown of your joy. The core of her passion stems from her own dance practice where she allows herself to fully embody every nuance of the sound, becoming her and healing her.

Rola facilitates an opportunity for others to share the healing effects of music as medicine, most notably through her work in Melbourne, Australia; by providing dance spaces and dance therapy to adults and children.
